Blog 1- The Startup
Officer Planning Meeting - Photos by Jenna Nganga
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first G4F blog post. I wanted to share a little more about the startup of our organization and how we made it to the place we are in today. This organization was originally created by our three co-founders, Maya Borkar, Paige Toran, and Kalie Cannon, who have since appointed other high school girls to fill in officer positions and assist in running the many departments of this organization. We all shared the same passion to create a safe environment for girls to help one another thrive and grow into the women we want to be. It is without a doubt that the startup of this organization has required a lot of hard work and idea sharing, and over the past few months, the team and I have been meeting every week to prepare for the official launch of this organization. Some of these responsibilities have included creating web content, establishing various social media accounts, and securing locations to host events and future club meetings. Additionally, we have been focusing a lot of our efforts into planning the upcoming invitational, which I am excited to announce will be held Friday, March 18th at the Lone Star Ranch Clubhouse (more info on events page). This invitational will give you all a chance to meet and interact with new people, and get a better understanding of the G4F mission and how your involvement in this club will benefit your future. We have truly put our hearts into this organization, and we are thrilled that we get to finally meet you all very soon!
